After 10 played minutes Hofweier got a freekick which was hit by Edson Hartenstein. In the 12th minute, Felix Hauser ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philipp Gaab was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, FC Victoria Engers's Joachim Pethe got control of the ball when Radim Woltemath tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radim Woltemath scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Pethe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Victoria Engers's Volko Moldenhauer got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 22nd minute when Felix Hauser elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Philipp Gaab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volko Moldenhauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falko Willmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jerzy Widmer came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Victoria Engers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Widmer couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hofweier's goalkeeper Philipp Gaab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Volko Moldenhauer struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Philipp Gaab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Victoria Engers. 44 minutes into the game, Felix Hauser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Philipp Gaab was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Volko Moldenhauer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philipp Gaab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Hauser was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Felix Hauser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philipp Gaab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Hauser in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Hofweier booed when FC Victoria Engers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falko Willmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Stuart Vitus fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hofweier's protests and gave Stuart Vitus a yellow card for diving instead. Stuart Vitus kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raiko Schulmeyer during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raiko Schulmeyer hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Joachim Pethe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Erler, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Volko Moldenhauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Philipp Gaab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philipp Gaab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Hauser in the 80th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Jerzy Widmer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Victoria Engers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hofweier the free kick. The supporters of Hofweier booed when FC Victoria Engers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Widmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Hauser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over FC Victoria Engers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hofweier throughout the match.
