Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pitt Stocker kicked off to start the match. Pascal Follmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Godwin Bastmüller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Krinsend FSV got a freekick which was hit by Max Hewerer. Godwin Bastmüller made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Martin Schütze sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 12 minutes, Pascal Follmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krinsend FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Follmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Schütze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godwin Bastmüller having to interfere. Schalke's Godwin Bastmüller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Follmann in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascal Follmann in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godwin Bastmüller saved Schalke from getting behind. Helmuth Lämmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Köppen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godwin Bastmüller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Follmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Pitt Stocker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Sylvio Zukrigl put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Schalke a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niklas Kronig, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Krinsend FSV's Helmuth Lämmer. 0-1. When Pitt Stocker came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Schalke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pitt Stocker couldn't finish the play. Erwin Köppen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godwin Bastmüller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Schütze in the 40th minute. Martin Schütze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Godwin Bastmüller made a huge save. Krinsend FSV's Martin Schütze got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Alex Ohse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schalke and the Krinsend FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Alex Ohse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Schütze was the one to do the kick off. Frank Karhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Godwin Bastmüller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Krinsend FSV's Helmuth Lämmer got control of the ball when Erwin Köppen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Hofmann struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Godwin Bastmüller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Krinsend FSV. Godwin Bastmüller came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Krinsend FSV's Frank Karhoff. But to his dismay, Frank Karhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pitt Stocker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Helmuth Lämmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godwin Bastmüller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Schütze, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Frank Karhoff notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Schalke's Godwin Bastmüller. Godwin Bastmüller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the match, Schalke's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Karhoff came free, but Godwin Bastmüller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Schütze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godwin Bastmüller having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Köppen got free with Helmuth Lämmer in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pitt Stocker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Helmuth Lämmer made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, Martin Schütze notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Schalke's Godwin Bastmüller. Godwin Bastmüller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
