Endrik Richardsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Schockenhoff in the 3rd minute of the match. Gerd Dürr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sami Koziol in the 6th minute. Michael Ziebart's late challenge caught a Hornbosteler SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Ziebart helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hornbosteler SV booed when FC Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Ziebart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fritz Beyer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Endrik Richardsen. FC Chelsea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Schockenhoff in the 17th minute of play forced FC Chelsea's goalkeeper Endrik Richardsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's goalkeeper Gerd Dürr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sami Koziol. In the 20th minute, Javier Bahlau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerd Dürr didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sami Koziol went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Endrik Richardsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Niedzwiecki in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Ziebart got free with Gerd Dürr in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Michael Schockenhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Endrik Richardsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerd Dürr made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Sami Koziol sent off a good shot on target. Endrik Richardsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederic Dörflinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael Dersewski was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Volkmar Lehmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markus Paul Kollar took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Endrik Richardsen. Endrik Richardsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Endrik Richardsen was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Lucjan Niedzwiecki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucjan Niedzwiecki really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Michael Schockenhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Endrik Richardsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endrik Richardsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederic Dörflinger in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Sami Koziol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Gerd Dürr was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederic Dörflinger got free with Endrik Richardsen in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Michael Schockenhoff took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Endrik Richardsen to make any attempt to save it. In the 85th minute, Sami Koziol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerd Dürr was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 90th minute, Hornbosteler SV's Michael Schockenhoff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-5. FC Chelsea's Michael Ziebart got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Michael Ziebart off the ground. In the 95th match minute, FC Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Ziebart to maneuver through the defense.
