Vico Oberlercher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Waitz in the 9th minute. Markus Waitz came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vico Oberlercher could save by the left post. Frank Depner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vico Oberlercher having to interfere. Vico Oberlercher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Waitz in the 21st minute. Vico Oberlercher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Depner in the 27th minute of play. If Markus Waitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Günther Herzig kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Marc Bleich, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Markus Waitz made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 37thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vico Oberlercher would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Josefsthal's Markus Waitz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Markus Waitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Vico Oberlercher made a huge save. Frank Depner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vico Oberlercher having to interfere. Vico Oberlercher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Depner in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Günther Herzig made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Vinzenz Kader mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Josefsthal and the Ellerau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinzenz Kader kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Vico Oberlercher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Waitz in the 61st minute of play. Ellerau's Vico Oberlercher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Detlef Rüsing in the 66th minute of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Frank Depner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ellerau's Vico Oberlercher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vico Oberlercher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinzenz Kader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Markus Waitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Josefsthal's supporters rose to their feet, but Markus Waitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vico Oberlercher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vico Oberlercher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Waitz in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Waitz in the 79th minute of play forced Ellerau's goalkeeper Vico Oberlercher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Markus Waitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vico Oberlercher was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A collision led to Josefsthal getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Wilhelm Miller hit a great ball.
