The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Garz's Benny Weichelt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathis Gauderer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25thth minute of the game Tihomir Ernstberger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Krüger F.C's Mathis Gauderer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benny Weichelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mathis Gauderer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathis Gauderer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tihomir Ernstberger's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Krüger F.C's Olaf Michael Imhof got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Tihomir Ernstberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Tihomir Ernstberger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathis Gauderer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After the first half Garz were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Markus Bär to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Tihomir Ernstberger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mathis Gauderer. Tihomir Ernstberger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Jochen Feldmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Bär, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 90th match minute, Krüger F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olaf Gauger to maneuver through the defense. Olaf Gauger charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olaf Gauger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 96 minutes, Benny Weichelt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benny Weichelt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garz's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
