Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Knut Wester started the match with the kick off. Knut Wester scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toralf Mosig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lennard Heinkel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter-Michael Schavan in the 8th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes hamburger sv got a freekick which was hit by Peter-Michael Schavan. 15 minutes into the game, Peter-Michael Schavan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. hamburger sv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.S Bodak the free kick. In the 15th minute, Peter-Michael Schavan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toralf Mosig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Wester, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in hamburger sv's zone, Enno Kleppinger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toralf Mosig came out of the goal and Enno Kleppinger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, S.S Bodak's goal looked a bit too open when Peter-Michael Schavan came free, but Lennard Heinkel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Knut Wester struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Toralf Mosig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S Bodak. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Peter-Michael Schavan managed to get in a good position for a shot. hamburger sv's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter-Michael Schavan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennard Heinkel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 32 in the game by Knut Wester from a close distance when the talented Toralf Mosig managed to make a qualified save. hamburger sv's players were relieved. Lennard Heinkel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Holler went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Peter-Michael Schavan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, S.S Bodak's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Holler came free, but Lennard Heinkel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toralf Mosig was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Conrad Grund capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Conrad Grund really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1.
After having played for 57 minutes, Edgar Holler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. hamburger sv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Holler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knut Wester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toralf Mosig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Knut Wester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enno Kleppinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toralf Mosig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Wester in the 70th minute of play. Lennard Heinkel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter-Michael Schavan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knut Wester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toralf Mosig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Conrad Grund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S Bodak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrad Grund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knut Wester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toralf Mosig having to interfere. Bo Wirkner's late challenge caught a S.S Bodak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Wirkner helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, hamburger sv's Bo Wirkner got a free kick in the 80th minute. Toralf Mosig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Knut Wester's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. During the 90th minute of the match Bo Wirkner completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bo Wirkner a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Bo Wirkner kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of S.S Bodak booed when hamburger sv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter-Michael Schavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 98 minutes, Knut Wester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S Bodak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Knut Wester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.S Bodak were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of hamburger sv for a fine match.
