After a defensive mix-up in fsv budissa bautzen's zone, Lysander Buchwalder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claude Hönicke came out of the goal and Lysander Buchwalder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claude Hönicke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Holzapfel in the 14th minute of play. Christian Holzapfel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Claude Hönicke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Hönicke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lysander Buchwalder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lysander Buchwalder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Brauksiepe to make the kick off. Claude Hönicke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Holzapfel in the 54th minute of the match. Claude Hönicke was a little too slow when Christian Holzapfel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. If Thomas Röwekamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lysander Buchwalder in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claude Hönicke, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 75 minutes, Christian Holzapfel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eglsee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Holzapfel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Kurt Brauksiepe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eglsee's Marcel Grein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Thomas Röwekamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Thomas Röwekamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Eglsee booed when fsv budissa bautzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position.
