Heinrich Fackiner hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Heinrich Fackiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Hörholdt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harald Schrage read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Drebber getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wim Hörholdt hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Drebber's goalkeeper Mehmet Osman Şerif had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marius Grill. Klement Lötzsch made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Heimko Bartsch however managed to control. Mehmet Osman Şerif was a little too slow when Heimko Bartsch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 39th minute, Marius Grill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehmet Osman Şerif was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Heimko Bartsch struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Mehmet Osman Şerif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Genius78. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

With a little luck, 1.FC Genius78's Harald Schrage got control of the ball when Wim Hörholdt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harald Schrage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heinrich Fackiner in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Drebber's Dennis Dahms seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dennis Dahms the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Drebber protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dennis Dahms had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of 1.FC Genius78 booed when Drebber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Dahms didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Drebber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Preuss to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Osman Şerif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimko Bartsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Marius Grill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1.FC Genius78 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 83rd minute, Wim Hörholdt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harald Schrage. The goal made the score 3-2. Mehmet Osman Şerif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimko Bartsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute 1.FC Genius78 were awarded a corner. Klement Lötzsch went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Klement Lötzsch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mehmet Osman Şerif quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 1.FC Genius78's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
