Reinhold Stoletzky made a great header on Edemissen's corner, it was just that Stratbücker's Luis Berlingen managed to reach the ball for a save. Luis Berlingen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Bruske, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Stratbücker's goal looked a bit too open when Mel Schnarr came free, but Luis Berlingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barry Murschel during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Stratbücker got a freekick which was hit by Barry Murschel. Luis Berlingen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Bruske's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. During the 18th minute of the match Barry Murschel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Barry Murschel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Barry Murschel kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Michael Bruske cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luis Berlingen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Mel Schnarr came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Edemissen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mel Schnarr couldn't finish the play. Michael Bruske received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Luis Berlingen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Mel Schnarr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Berlingen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Berlingen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bruske, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Berlingen came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Edemissen's Michael Bruske. But to his dismay, Michael Bruske quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Michael Bruske took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Berlingen. Luis Berlingen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 46th minute, Michael Bruske left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edemissen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillaume Seyler made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mel Schnarr got free with Luis Berlingen in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Berlingen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bruske, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Klinkisch charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Klinkisch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Aimo Lefering fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stratbücker's protests and gave Aimo Lefering a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Stratbücker's Aimo Lefering got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mel Schnarr got free with Luis Berlingen in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Stratbücker's zone, Mel Schnarr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Berlingen came out of the goal and Mel Schnarr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mel Schnarr who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Luis Berlingen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 90th minute of the match Aimo Lefering completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aimo Lefering a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Reinhold Stoletzky, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Stratbücker getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Eckart von den Driesch hit a great ball. Luis Berlingen made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Mel Schnarr sent off a good shot on target.
