Neugereut FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Biermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerhard Martin Stockert struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Efraim Störmsdörfer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neugereut FC. In the 23rd minute, Nico Biermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neugereut FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Efraim Störmsdörfer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico Biermann went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dormund's zone, Nico Biermann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efraim Störmsdörfer came out of the goal and Nico Biermann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Carsten Lingemann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Gerhard Martin Stockert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efraim Störmsdörfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Nico Biermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute Nico Biermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efraim Störmsdörfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frederik Golz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frederik Golz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Reinhold Poser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errol Weinert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Akcakoca in the 54th minute of play. Borussia Dormund's Efraim Störmsdörfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerhard Martin Stockert in the 57th minute of play. Borussia Dormund's Frederik Golz got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uno Haußdörfer charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uno Haußdörfer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Neugereut FC's Uno Haußdörfer got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Errol Weinert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Golz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Gerhard Martin Stockert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dormund's Efraim Störmsdörfer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Gerhard Martin Stockert sped through Borussia Dormund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Efraim Störmsdörfer. In the 82nd minute, Frederik Golz made a precise shot to the right of Errol Weinert. Neugereut FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. If Nico Biermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Borussia Dormund's Efraim Störmsdörfer got control of the ball when Nico Biermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neugereut FC's Gerhard Martin Stockert got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Adriano Bareiß managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neugereut FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Bareiß was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efraim Störmsdörfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Neugereut FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Borussia Dormund throughout the match.
