The supporters of Federata Shqiptare booed when Klein Rhüden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Krüger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eckart Lüth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhon Snow in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Theodor Hechler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Klein Rhüden getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ulli Böggemann hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tobi Wöllner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eckart Lüth was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute, Theodor Hechler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobi Wöllner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klein Rhüden's Eckart Lüth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobi Wöllner in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Jhon Snow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eckart Lüth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Federata Shqiptare's goalkeeper Artur Bausch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gretel Günther. Jhon Snow struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Eckart Lüth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Federata Shqiptare. Tobi Wöllner took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eckart Lüth. Eckart Lüth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Gretel Günther had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Bausch. Federata Shqiptare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gretel Günther was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 37th minute, Theodor Hechler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Klein Rhüden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 40 minutes of play, Federata Shqiptare's Tobi Wöllner made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eckart Lüth was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Klein Rhüden's goal looked a bit too open when Tobi Wöllner came free, but Eckart Lüth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Federata Shqiptare defense, Daniel Gronow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Bausch. The Federata Shqiptare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Bausch should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
