Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ingemar Heck kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Leiberstung booed when Club an der Leine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Messow didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes, Leiberstung's Eugen Wolsch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcio Kahlert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leiberstung reached it. The nice shot from Björn Berres in the 8thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Berend Amstutz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Uwe Messow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uwe Messow hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club an der Leine's Ingemar Heck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Berend Amstutz. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute, Leonid Mackowiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match Leiberstung got a corner. Club an der Leine's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eugen Wolsch ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marian Moldenhauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcio Kahlert having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Club an der Leine got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Heck. After a defensive mix-up in Leiberstung's zone, Ingemar Heck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berend Amstutz came out of the goal and Ingemar Heck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Julius Holldorf made the kick off in the second half. When Hauke Kunze came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Club an der Leine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hauke Kunze couldn't finish the play. Marcio Kahlert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Holldorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Berend Amstutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Berres in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Ingemar Heck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berend Amstutz. Leiberstung's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingemar Heck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leiberstung's Marian Moldenhauer got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club an der Leine's Leonid Mackowiak got a free kick in the 66th minute. A hard shot 73 in the game by Marian Moldenhauer from a close distance when the talented Marcio Kahlert managed to make a qualified save. Club an der Leine's players were relieved. Julius Holldorf might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcio Kahlert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julius Holldorf ran back to his position shaking his head. When Lukas Zellermayer came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Leiberstung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukas Zellermayer couldn't finish the play. Marian Moldenhauer kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club an der Leine fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leiberstung had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
