Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Livio Matzken in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto-Stephan Dölle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Detlef Strobl was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 许荣益 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Folke Weyerich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Folke Weyerich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Berlin's Detlef Strobl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Union Berlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignatius Lüttke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Detlef Strobl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Weyerich, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Folke Weyerich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Detlef Strobl. Union Berlin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Folke Weyerich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Union Berlin's zone, 许荣益 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Detlef Strobl came out of the goal and 许荣益 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Union Berlin's goalkeeper Detlef Strobl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Livio Matzken to make the kick off. 3-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Folke Weyerich elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Mu§ Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Livio Matzken came free, but Otto-Stephan Dölle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Union Berlin's Marcus Erhart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otto-Stephan Dölle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mu§ Spor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Livio Matzken scored to the left of an out of position Otto-Stephan Dölle, making the score, 3-3. Detlef Strobl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Razvan Dicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Razvan Dicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Detlef Strobl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mu§ Spor's Otto-Stephan Dölle got control of the ball when Marcus Erhart tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 74 played minutes Mu§ Spor got a freekick which was hit by Raffael Rauh. When Marcus Erhart came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Union Berlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Erhart couldn't finish the play. Otto-Stephan Dölle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Erhart in the 78th minute. In the 81st match minute, Mu§ Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 许荣益 to maneuver through the defense. After 87 minutes of play, Mu§ Spor's Razvan Dicu made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
