Charles Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franz Eberhardt in the 7th minute. Nicodim Cutean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicodim Cutean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kurt-Dieter Petsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronald Flemming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt-Dieter Petsch having to interfere. If Friedbert Schlünz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt-Dieter Petsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Flemming, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Franz Eberhardt came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Charles Vale could save by the left post. After 30 minutes of play, Kirchheide FC's Ronald Flemming made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt-Dieter Petsch was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Türkgücü defense, Ronald Flemming kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurt-Dieter Petsch. The Türkgücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt-Dieter Petsch should have stopped the shot. Türkgücü's Kurt-Dieter Petsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Flemming in the 44th minute of play. Kurt-Dieter Petsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Hâjdău in the 46th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Türkgücü's zone, Nicodim Cutean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt-Dieter Petsch came out of the goal and Nicodim Cutean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Türkgücü got a freekick which was hit by Severin Leonhard. 52 minutes into the match, Kirchheide FC's Ronald Flemming sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt-Dieter Petsch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 54 played minutes Türkgücü got a freekick which was hit by Alwin Niemöller. If Nicodim Cutean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronald Flemming's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Kurt-Dieter Petsch skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ronald Flemming who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Kurt-Dieter Petsch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kurt-Dieter Petsch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Cutean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Türkgücü's Kurt-Dieter Petsch got control of the ball when Ronald Flemming tried to sneak it across the goal line. Livio Schieder kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Curt Rackwitz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severin Leonhard during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes Türkgücü got a freekick which was hit by Severin Leonhard. Ronald Flemmings short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Kurt-Dieter Petsch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 87th minute Benno Nuphaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Türkgücü's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Flemming came free, but Kurt-Dieter Petsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Kirchheide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Livio Schieder came free, but Charles Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
