Holm Butscher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens Huber in the 3rd minute. Jens Huber scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holm Butscher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Holm Butscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Adolph, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Adolph in the 10th minute of play forced Kievelberg's goalkeeper Holm Butscher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Max Maas during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Wessenstedt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Maas to maneuver through the defense. Hansjörg Korsikowski kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Kuno Suchowitzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kievelberg's Holm Butscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Kievelberg from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wessenstedt's goalkeeper Miklos Trabold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Holm Butscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Deinbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Jens Huber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Holm Butscher. The goal made the score 3-0. If Kuno Suchowitzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holm Butscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Deinbeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kievelberg's Holm Butscher got control of the ball when Jens Huber tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Wessenstedt booed when Kievelberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopold Popoola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens Huber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Holm Butscher made a huge save. 45 minutes into the game, Joachim Adolph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wessenstedt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kievelberg the free kick. A collision led to Wessenstedt getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Joachim Adolph hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Kuno Suchowitzki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kievelberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Kuno Suchowitzki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miklos Trabold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens Huber to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jens Huber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holm Butscher was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Miklos Trabold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Kühlert in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörn Kühlert got free with Miklos Trabold in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th match minute, Wessenstedt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Adolph to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Ansgar Flauger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holm Butscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kuno Suchowitzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wessenstedt fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Miklos Trabold, was totally fooled by Kievelberg's Leopold Popoola, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Holm Butscher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Huber's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Kievelberg's Kuno Suchowitzki got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kievelberg's Zwi Kühn got a free kick in the 84th minute. Jens Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holm Butscher having to interfere. A collision led to Kievelberg getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Leopold Popoola hit a great ball. Kuno Suchowitzki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Miklos Trabold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miklos Trabold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Kühlert in the 94th minute. Zwi Kühn took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miklos Trabold. Miklos Trabold dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Wessenstedt were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kievelberg for a fine match.
