After a defensive mix-up in Haunetal FC's zone, Jörg Faul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Hindrichs came out of the goal and Jörg Faul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Freudenstein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joshua Benedix's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Patrick Kobe's late challenge caught a Haunetal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Kobe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, FC Cooop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Kobe to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomislav Irion in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Freudenstein saved FC Cooop from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Joshua Benedix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haunetal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Benedix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Freudenstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loy Schallenberg lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Cooop fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Haunetal FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. Tim Küpper-Adebisi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Joshua Benedix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Freudenstein. FC Cooop's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joshua Benedix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. FC Cooop's Manuel Freudenstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cooop from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Haunetal FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
