Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Per Hesse took the kick off in the first half of the match. Henrik Plehn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Plehn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 minutes, Gunther Schaar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meiborssen and the Eschenstruth players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Eschenstruth booed when Meiborssen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Schaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Hilbert Holzapfel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meiborssen's Erhard Krosigk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hermann Terbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kilian Machleid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Hilbert Holzapfel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erhard Krosigk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilbert Holzapfel in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erhard Krosigk saved Meiborssen from getting behind. Eschenstruth's Hilbert Holzapfel got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meiborssen's goalkeeper Erhard Krosigk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hilbert Holzapfel struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Erhard Krosigk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eschenstruth. In the 34thth minute of the game Hilbert Holzapfel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meiborssen's Erhard Krosigk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Günter Erler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Erhard Krosigk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilbert Holzapfel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute of the match Eschenstruth got a corner. Meiborssen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henrik Stumpf ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Eschenstruth's corner Henrik Stumpf fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erhard Krosigk quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Hilbert Holzapfel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eschenstruth's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilbert Holzapfel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erhard Krosigk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Hilbert Holzapfel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erhard Krosigk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederik Marquardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hilbert Holzapfel to make the kick off. When Günter Erler came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Eschenstruth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günter Erler couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Hesse in the 59th minute of play forced Eschenstruth's goalkeeper Kilian Machleid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Meiborssen's Per Hesse got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Hilbert Holzapfel might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erhard Krosigk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hilbert Holzapfel ran back to his position shaking his head. Erhard Krosigk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günter Erler in the 68th minute of the match. Hilbert Holzapfel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhard Krosigk having to interfere. Eschenstruth's Hilbert Holzapfel got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Meiborssen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Günter Erler fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Eschenstruth booed when Meiborssen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Schaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Hilbert Holzapfel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erhard Krosigk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With his leg Erhard Krosigk managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Eschenstruth's Hilbert Holzapfel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Henrik Stumpf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhard Krosigk having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Meiborssen got a freekick which was hit by Julius Kleinfeld. Erhard Krosigk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilbert Holzapfel in the 92nd minute of the match. Eschenstruth's Henrik Stumpf got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eschenstruth's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
