The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Uwe Schock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gräfinghagen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uwe Schock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute Uwe Schock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Prehn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fynn Engert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthias W Fromme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. When Gräfinghagen's Uwe Schock in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kehler FV's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradley Merges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias W Fromme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bradley Merges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Matthias W Fromme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bradley Merges made the kick off in the second half. Matthias W Fromme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Merges in the 51st minute of the match. Uwe Schock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kehler FV's Bradley Merges got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gräfinghagen's Matthias W Fromme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Merges in the 62nd minute of play. If Bradley Merges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute of the match Casimir Machold shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthias W Fromme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gräfinghagen's Matthias W Fromme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Bande in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes, Bradley Merges made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gräfinghagen's Matthias W Fromme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Bradley Merges managed to get in a good position for a shot.
