The audience thought a goal was coming when Romed Canel got free with Stefan Ortlieb in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aachener FC played a much better game than FC Herne 08 and deserved their victory. The FC Herne 08 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
