Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FSV Fortuna Fresh's Felix Jarowoy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Markus Pletz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baier Leverkusen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Pletz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niko Frijia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danko Bregenzer in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Baier Leverkusen getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sascha Slesar hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Baier Leverkusen's zone, Felix Jarowoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niko Frijia came out of the goal and Felix Jarowoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horatio Hadeler hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Niko Frijia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Jarowoy in the 19th minute of the match. Niko Frijia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Schwunk in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes FSV Fortuna Fresh got a freekick which was hit by Danko Bregenzer. Boris Kohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Pletz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Jens Burmeister came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FSV Fortuna Fresh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Burmeister couldn't finish the play. When Mirko Witzig fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baier Leverkusen's protests and gave Mirko Witzig a yellow card for diving instead. Jens Burmeister made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Baier Leverkusen's Sascha Slesar. After a defensive mix-up in Baier Leverkusen's zone, Adrian Schwunk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niko Frijia came out of the goal and Adrian Schwunk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Schwunk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markus Pletz struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Boris Kohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baier Leverkusen. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jens Burmeister managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSV Fortuna Fresh's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Burmeister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niko Frijia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Jarowoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Niko Frijia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markus Pletz made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play Baier Leverkusen's Mirko Witzig was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Baier Leverkusen getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mirko Witzig hit a great ball. Hans-Jürgen Stern made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Baier Leverkusen's Magnus Kowalski. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, FSV Fortuna Fresh's Felix Jarowoy got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Niko Frijia. Julian Thole kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Felix Jarowoy was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. FSV Fortuna Fresh's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Schwunk got free with Niko Frijia in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Baier Leverkusen booed when FSV Fortuna Fresh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danko Bregenzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans-Jürgen Stern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Niko Frijia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Felix Jarowoy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niko Frijia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 88th match minute, Baier Leverkusen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horatio Hadeler to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, FSV Fortuna Fresh's Niko Frijia threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felix Jarowoy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th minute Jens Burmeister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niko Frijia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horatio Hadeler hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Baier Leverkusen's Sascha Slesar got a free kick in the 100th minute. When the match was over FSV Fortuna Fresh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Baier Leverkusen throughout the match.
