Fabian Kern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Schrader having to interfere. If Ali Murat Hartleitner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eidur Neuhausen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Björn Schrader having to make a save. Kemal Pottgießer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrich Götze having to interfere. Eidur Neuhausen charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eidur Neuhausen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kees Polder was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 43rd minute Ali Murat Hartleitner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Schrader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

SV Ohlsbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kees Polder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Murat Hartleitner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heinrich Götze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kemal Pottgießer, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, FC Pirmasens Blau Weiß's goal looked a bit too open when Kees Polder came free, but Heinrich Götze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
