Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hendrik Pechmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. Asbjörn Karger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heimko Klaassen having to interfere. After 7 minutes of play, TSV Bäumenheim's Hendrik Pechmann made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heimko Klaassen was left in no man's land by his defense there! TSV Bäumenheim's Hendrik Pechmann managed to work through FC Energie Cottbus's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hendrik Pechmann dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asbjörn Karger got free with Heimko Klaassen in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Asbjörn Karger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heimko Klaassen having to make a save. FC Energie Cottbus's Heimko Klaassen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save FC Energie Cottbus from getting a goal against them. A collision led to TSV Bäumenheim getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hermann Bodewig hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, TSV Bäumenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Kozole came free, but Willibert Hengemühle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heimko Klaassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hendrik Pechmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44th play minutes Asbjörn Karger shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Heimko Klaassen and just under the crossbar into goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Kozole to make the kick off. TSV Bäumenheim's Asbjörn Karger got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 52nd match minute, FC Energie Cottbus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Döbbe to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute Reinhart Riegert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heimko Klaassen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Rene Kozole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hendrik Pechmann in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heimko Klaassen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Menzel in the 57th minute of play forced FC Energie Cottbus's goalkeeper Heimko Klaassen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heimko Klaassen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hendrik Pechmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in TSV Bäumenheim's zone, Rene Kozole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willibert Hengemühle came out of the goal and Rene Kozole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hendrik Pechmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Asbjörn Karger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erwin Türkmen fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Bäumenheim's protests and gave Erwin Türkmen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, TSV Bäumenheim's Waldemar Barkhausen got a free kick in the 81st minute. Rene Kozole's late challenge caught a TSV Bäumenheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Kozole helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, FC Energie Cottbus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Kozole to maneuver through the defense. Günther Menzel hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. TSV Bäumenheim fully deserved thier win.
