If Friedbert Lauterbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kowalski's zone, Gianni Schneider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvid Burg came out of the goal and Gianni Schneider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tristan Hell kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, VfL Trier Revolutionäre's Friedbert Lauterbach sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arvid Burg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over VfL Trier Revolutionäre could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kowalski throughout the match.
