When Lion Liebherr fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Großengottern's protests and gave Lion Liebherr a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Lion Liebherr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Großengottern's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roland Schoppe was slow to take the kick. During this time Rausch's players had a chance to rest. The long shot by Domenico Höpfner in the 85th minute really tested Otfried Gellrich's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
