Friedbert Lauterbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Höck having to interfere. Rausch's Johann Höck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedbert Lauterbach in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Friedbert Lauterbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Trier Revolutionäre's supporters rose to their feet, but Friedbert Lauterbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johann Höck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demetrius Herlitizius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasso Päßler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Friedbert Lauterbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Höck having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Friedbert Lauterbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VfL Trier Revolutionäre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

VfL Trier Revolutionäre's Demetrius Herlitizius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspard Bahr in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Pascal Schulze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspard Bahr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rausch booed when VfL Trier Revolutionäre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Schulze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspard Bahr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johann Höck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Friedbert Lauterbach in the 62nd minute. Hasso Päßler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Gaspard Bahr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rausch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspard Bahr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hasso Päßler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspard Bahr scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrius Herlitizius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Pascal Schulze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Friedbert Lauterbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Johann Höck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, VfL Trier Revolutionäre failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
