The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arvid Burg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasso Päßler in the 4th minute of the match. Gaspard Bahr struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Arvid Burg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rausch. In the 13th minute, Hasso Päßler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rausch's Johann Höck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Baur in the 15th minute of play. Fabian Baur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Höck having to interfere. Johann Höck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Baur, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sean Freudenstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Baur struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. In the 39th match minute, Rausch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Kopp to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Baur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Sönke Jung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hasso Päßler made a kick off. The supporters of Rausch booed when Kowalski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Freudenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sönke Jung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tristan Hell kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Gaspard Bahr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Arvid Burg made a huge save. A hard shot 65 in the game by Gaspard Bahr from a close distance when the talented Arvid Burg managed to make a qualified save. Kowalski's players were relieved. 69 minutes into the match, Gaspard Bahr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arvid Burg. Kowalski's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspard Bahr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 78thth minute of the game Sean Freudenstein who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rausch's Johann Höck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Fabian Baur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Rausch's Lovis Tront dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rausch eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
