In the 34th minute, Jacek Hiemer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl Scheytt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Christopher Hog-Heidel's late challenge caught a VfL Trier Revolutionäre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Hog-Heidel helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in TSV Cossebaude's zone, Fatih Seidel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Scheytt came out of the goal and Fatih Seidel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Friedbert Lauterbach could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Karl Scheytt however easily saved by the left post. Gianni Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Karl Scheytt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes TSV Cossebaude got a freekick which was hit by Sven Nimako. In the 47th match minute, TSV Cossebaude was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Rolker to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Franz Rolker made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan Schwarzbäcker in the 52nd minute of play forced TSV Cossebaude's goalkeeper Karl Scheytt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Scheytt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Friedbert Lauterbach in the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Friedbert Lauterbach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfL Trier Revolutionäre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Friedbert Lauterbach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Franz Rolker took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Demetrius Herlitizius to make any attempt to save it. TSV Cossebaude's Karl Scheytt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedbert Lauterbach in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Friedbert Lauterbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Scheytt was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
