After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Martin Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1FC Gamingking's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz Hormes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Benedikt Stirböck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niklas Kurbjuweit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hubertus Sprey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sven Reichenbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Reichenbach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubertus Sprey in the 96th minute of the match.
