Hippolyt Punke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinrich Klerings, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee ignored Poppes Cleebronn SG's protests and gave Dominik Spanner a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Poppes Cleebronn SG got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Spanner. After 23 minutes, Theodor Hofer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poppes Cleebronn SG and the FC Arnstadt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hippolyt Punke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinrich Klerings, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Erich Schrage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heinrich Klerings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hippolyt Punke having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, FC Arnstadt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiri Öllerich to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georg Gleixner made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Heinrich Klerings rounded Poppes Cleebronn SG's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Heinrich Klerings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hippolyt Punke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hippolyt Punke made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Heinrich Klerings sent off a good shot on target. Heinrich Klerings recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Arnstadt's goalkeeper Levi Mühlstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Georg Gleixner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Hippolyt Punke made a huge save. Georg Gleixner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hippolyt Punke having to interfere. Atze Overkamp charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atze Overkamp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Arnstadt's Levi Mühlstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Hofer in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of FC Arnstadt booed when Poppes Cleebronn SG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingbert Heschke didn't get a good kick on the ball.
