Reecke FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schleusingen the free kick. The supporters of Schleusingen booed when Reecke FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Kümmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Louis Rüschenbaum sped through Schleusingen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Balko Deisler. With an all-out effort, Reecke FC's Balko Deisler threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tim Kümmel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 12 minutes, Iker Meiniger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schleusingen and the Reecke FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Reecke FC booed when Schleusingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Meiniger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Tim Kümmel made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Schleusingen's Balko Deisler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Balko Deisler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Kümmel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, Moritz Ani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schleusingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moritz Ani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Dirk Rotheuler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ferit Gellekum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Balko Deisler was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Tim Kümmel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tim Kümmel really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. If Moritz Ani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferit Gellekum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Ani in the 33rd minute of play. Balko Deisler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louis Rüschenbaum in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Reecke FC's Tim Kümmel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Balko Deisler. That made the score 4-1 after 36 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspard Thoroe in the 43rd minute of play forced Schleusingen's goalkeeper Balko Deisler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Schleusingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Rotheuler to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tim Kümmel made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gaspard Thoroe made a precise shot to the right of Balko Deisler. Schleusingen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Willy Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Gellekum having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Tim Kümmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reecke FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Kümmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Schleusingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philippe Beilmann to maneuver through the defense. Reecke FC's Ferit Gellekum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Ani in the 63rd minute of play. Balko Deisler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Schmitt in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Alain Hagemann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Reecke FC's zone, Willy Wolf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferit Gellekum came out of the goal and Willy Wolf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Tim Kümmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balko Deisler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Kümmel in the 77th minute of play forced Schleusingen's goalkeeper Balko Deisler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balko Deisler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Kümmel in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Rüschenbaum in the 84th minute of play forced Schleusingen's goalkeeper Balko Deisler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Wolf scored 8-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferit Gellekum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reecke FC fully deserved thier win.
