SC Lippe-Hamm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Groß Schneen FSV the free kick. After 8 played minutes SC Lippe-Hamm got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Addicks. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volkmar Siller in the 8th minute of play forced SC Lippe-Hamm's goalkeeper Stephan Kienzle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Gero Dreier took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Herbert Nass to make any attempt to save it. Tjard Hupp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Volkmar Siller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Volkmar Siller might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stephan Kienzle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Volkmar Siller ran back to his position shaking his head. Stephan Kienzle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volkmar Siller, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Groß Schneen FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Gero Dreier came free, but Herbert Nass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Groß Schneen FSV's Tjard Hupp got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tjard Hupp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Volkmar Siller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Kienzle having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Volkmar Siller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oliver Dappers's late challenge caught a SC Lippe-Hamm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Dappers helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Groß Schneen FSV's Oliver Dappers got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Thilo Döll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Volkmar Siller came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Groß Schneen FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Volkmar Siller couldn't finish the play. SC Lippe-Hamm's Stephan Kienzle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Volkmar Siller in the 61st minute of play. Stephan Kienzle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Volkmar Siller in the 69th minute of the match. Herbert Nass made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Kirchmer in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, SC Lippe-Hamm's Stephan Kienzle got control of the ball when Tjard Hupp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Groß Schneen FSV's Tjard Hupp got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Lippe-Hamm succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Groß Schneen FSV had controlled the match.
