The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Richart Scheinert came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Nirvana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richart Scheinert couldn't finish the play. Hilmar Mönnich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stephan Kienzle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Hilmar Mönnich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Kienzle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, SC Lippe-Hamm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gero Dreier to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Oskar Kirchmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stephan Kienzle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richart Scheinert, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richart Scheinert in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Lippe-Hamm's goalkeeper Stephan Kienzle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Kirchmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chris Hofstedde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gero Dreier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richart Scheinert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. The supporters of Nirvana FC booed when SC Lippe-Hamm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perikles Faust didn't get a good kick on the ball.
