Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Lando Holl in the 7th minute of play forced Sterzenbach's goalkeeper Pjotr List to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Sterzenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Lando Holl came free, but Pjotr List reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Sterzenbach's Richard Kurtz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermann Stenger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Willi Franz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Sterzenbach's Harro Graichen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hermann Stenger. Hermann Stenger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 27 minutes, Lando Holl made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sterzenbach's Pjotr List tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Richard Kurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Hermann Stenger made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sterzenbach's Ingo Schubert got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Harro Graichen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hermann Stenger. The goal made the score 4-1. 41 minutes into the match, Richard Kurtz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermann Stenger. 1.FC Union Berlin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Kurtz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Thomas Exner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lando Holl to make the kick off. Harro Graichen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hermann Stenger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Kurtz in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermann Stenger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of 1.FC Union Berlin booed when Sterzenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Ehnert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Exner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Pjotr List made a huge save. Thomas Exner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Harro Graichen put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hermann Stenger. Hermann Stenger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harro Graichen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, 1.FC Union Berlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gretel Reule to maneuver through the defense. Hermann Stenger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harro Graichen in the 74th minute of the match. Thomas Exner struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Pjotr List didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Union Berlin. When Sterzenbach's Harro Graichen in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1.FC Union Berlin's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Thomas Exner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1.FC Union Berlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Exner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Kurtz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Richard Kurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
