Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Villingen-Schweninngen SV's Lutger Weibler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, one of Villingen-Schweninngen SV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villingen-Schweninngen SV. Balthasar Korsus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Henning Rennicke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lutger Weibler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Burgbacher having to interfere. Balthasar Korsus struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Henning Rennicke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SG Massen. Florian Achenbach kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Henning Rennicke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balthasar Korsus in the 18th minute of the match. If Jakov Fleiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashley Burgbacher came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Villingen-Schweninngen SV's Erk Grytz. But to his dismay, Erk Grytz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 33rd minute of the match Dirk von Platen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henning Rennicke showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes Villingen-Schweninngen SV got a freekick which was hit by Boris Surkemper. Jakov Fleiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henning Rennicke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jakov Fleiner ran back to his position shaking his head. Villingen-Schweninngen SV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Balthasar Korsus scored to the left of an out of position Henning Rennicke, making the score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Balthasar Korsus made the kick off in the second half. When Lutger Weibler came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Villingen-Schweninngen SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lutger Weibler couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SG Massen's zone, Lutger Weibler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashley Burgbacher came out of the goal and Lutger Weibler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jakov Fleiner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Rennicke having to interfere. When Lutger Weibler came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Villingen-Schweninngen SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lutger Weibler couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Erk Grytz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jakov Fleiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Henning Rennicke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Balthasar Korsus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balthasar Korsus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakov Fleiner in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Rennicke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henning Rennicke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balthasar Korsus in the 92nd minute of play. SG Massen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
