Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kassian Abel to make the kick off. Moritz Schwanenflugel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Eickel in the 62nd minute of play. If Rolf Grunewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christian Piltz fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eintracht Nordwest's protests and gave Christian Piltz a yellow card for diving instead. Moritz Schwanenflugel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Eickel in the 71st minute of the match.
