Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gero Fast started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 4 minutes, Dirk Eckstein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1. FC Homberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dirk Eckstein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of 1. FC Homberg booed when Ho heenden FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thaddäus Bartels didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, 1. FC Homberg's Sven Philipp broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 11 played minutes 1. FC Homberg got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Waclawiak. Sven Philipp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robby Neumann. Ho heenden FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gero Fast managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1. FC Homberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Gero Fast was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robby Neumann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robby Neumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gero Fast, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Gero Fast got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Ho heenden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thaddäus Bartels to maneuver through the defense. If Dirk Eckstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robby Neumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Eckstein in the 37th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Dirk Eckstein cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Robby Neumann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Altliebe was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Louis Wolf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robby Neumann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Raphael Siepen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Karis's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Christoph Bienstock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ho heenden FSV and the 1. FC Homberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Ho heenden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoph Bienstock to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes in the game Louis Wolf got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gero Fast managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1. In the 71st minute Gero Fast shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robby Neumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ho heenden FSV's Robby Neumann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Ho heenden FSV from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ho heenden FSV's Harald Eicker got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Harald Eicker kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Thaddäus Bartels kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 1. FC Homberg's Sven Philipp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ho heenden FSV. In the 82nd match minute, 1. FC Homberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Eckstein to maneuver through the defense. Ho heenden FSV's Robby Neumann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gero Fast in the 84th minute of play. Fritz Nuphaus's late challenge caught a 1. FC Homberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fritz Nuphaus helped the player get up and apologised. Fritz Nuphaus kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Raphael Siepen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Karis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dirk Eckstein scored 0-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robby Neumann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1. FC Homberg's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
