Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arne Pötters took the kick off in the first half of the match. Arne Pötters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Raphael Siepen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Philipp kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Arne Pötters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1. FC Homberg's Raphael Siepen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dirk Eckstein struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Eckhard Gedlich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Homberg. Raphael Siepen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Schubert in the 18th minute of play. When Louis Wolf fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Homberg's protests and gave Louis Wolf a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes 1. FC Homberg got a freekick which was hit by Louis Wolf. Gero Fast fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eckhard Gedlich having to interfere. Eckhard Gedlich made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dirk Eckstein sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Leusel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 1. FC Homberg:s goal. 32 minutes into the match, Leusel's Arne Pötters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Siepen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dirk Eckstein who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leusel's Eckhard Gedlich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dirk Eckstein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Eckhard Gedlich made a huge save.

When Dirk Eckstein came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the 1. FC Homberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Eckstein couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gero Fast in the 60th minute of play forced Leusel's goalkeeper Eckhard Gedlich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Leusel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomislav Öllerich to maneuver through the defense. Arne Pötters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, 1. FC Homberg's goalkeeper Raphael Siepen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Schubert. In the 77th minute, Dirk Eckstein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gero Fast in the 79th minute of play forced Leusel's goalkeeper Eckhard Gedlich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Siepen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arne Pötters showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play. After 83 played minutes Leusel got a freekick which was hit by Felix Gröbner. A collision led to 1. FC Homberg getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Henning Westermann hit a great ball. Eckhard Gedlich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Eckstein in the 91st minute of play. 1. FC Homberg's Raphael Siepen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save 1. FC Homberg from getting a goal against them. The Leusel players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
