FC Union Bindow's goal looked a bit too open when Alois Spanknebel came free, but Adam Springer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Biege in the 8th minute of play forced Melbeck's goalkeeper Gus Skrotzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Springer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alois Spanknebel in the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Robert Donnerbauer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbeck's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Donnerbauer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Springer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Melbeck's zone, Andy Neitzel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gus Skrotzki came out of the goal and Andy Neitzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gus Skrotzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Neitzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Andy Neitzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elmar Rauh during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Melbeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Rauh to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Carsten Plump shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gus Skrotzki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andy Neitzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gus Skrotzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Nehrbauer kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gus Skrotzki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Biege's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Eugen Biege might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gus Skrotzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugen Biege ran back to his position shaking his head. After 36 minutes, Philipp Meyers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melbeck and the 1. FC Union Bindow players grew even worse after the yellow card. Philipp Meyers kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Eugen Biege had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gus Skrotzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Biege in the 43rd minute of the match. The 1. FC Union Bindow fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when 1. FC Union Bindow's Eugen Biege looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half 1. FC Union Bindow were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute, Andy Neitzel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gus Skrotzki made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Eugen Biege sent off a good shot on target. When Melbeck's Alois Spanknebel in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1. FC Union Bindow's goalie prevented a goal. When Robert Donnerbauer came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Melbeck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Donnerbauer couldn't finish the play. Alois Spanknebel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugen Biege spun around in front of the goal 73 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Gus Skrotzki grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. During the 74th minute of the match Philipp Meyers completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Philipp Meyers a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Philipp Meyers hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Klaus Dittrich's late challenge caught a 1. FC Union Bindow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaus Dittrich helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Melbeck getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Klaus Dittrich hit a great ball. Andy Neitzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gus Skrotzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Biege could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Gus Skrotzki made a huge save. Melbeck's Robert Donnerbauer got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1. FC Union Bindow's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
