Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ralph Josten started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Eckart Gurok hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filippo Junker struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Josef Appeltrath didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Butteldorf. The supporters of Butteldorf booed when Gerenort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Wächter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lothar Miller made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Magnus Kuhr sent off a good shot on target. Jakob Fabisch scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josef Appeltrath, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Josten in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josef Appeltrath saved Gerenort from getting behind. Sigurd Siberichs took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lothar Miller. Lothar Miller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Lothar Miller was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dan Fricke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. The Gerenort fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Gerenort's Magnus Kuhr looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute, Pär Engelmann reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lothar Miller. The goal made the score 4-1. After 46 played minutes, Butteldorf's Reno Meise shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josef Appeltrath came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Butteldorf reached it. Ralph Josten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Appeltrath having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dan Fricke made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Magnus Kuhr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lothar Miller. Butteldorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magnus Kuhr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. With a little luck, Gerenort's Josef Appeltrath got control of the ball when Ralph Josten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Dan Fricke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Lothar Miller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ralph Josten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Appeltrath having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, Gerenort's Dan Fricke made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lothar Miller was left in no man's land by his defense there! Josef Appeltrath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippo Junker in the 79th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Dirk Hertel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Pär Engelmann made a precise shot to the right of Lothar Miller. Butteldorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-2. Lothar Miller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Fricke in the 92nd minute of play. Max Kaiser kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Sigurd Siberichs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lothar Miller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
