Hein Dieler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Günther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Serkan Brandmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Becheln FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lind the free kick. After some careless play in the Becheln FSV defense, Thierry Aist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hein Dieler. The Becheln FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hein Dieler should have stopped the shot. Hein Dieler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thierry Aist in the 18th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Lind's goal looked a bit too open when Sascha Alt came free, but Arno Zahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Lind defense, Sascha Alt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arno Zahl. The Lind fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arno Zahl should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thierry Aist in the 29th minute of play forced Becheln FSV's goalkeeper Hein Dieler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hein Dieler came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Lind's Benny Günther. But to his dismay, Benny Günther quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hein Dieler came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Lind's Thierry Aist. But to his dismay, Thierry Aist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.

In the 52nd minute Thierry Aist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hein Dieler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Thierry Aist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lind fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Matthias Kotissek hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, Johannes Borcherding cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hein Dieler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boris Iyidirli hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lind booed when Becheln FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sascha Alt didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Lind were the better team. Lind's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
