An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Fricke in the 25th minute of play forced Fain Fighters's goalkeeper Wilfried Assing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfried Assing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Fricke in the 26th minute of the match. Josef Appeltrath made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raik Discher in the 36th minute. If Dan Fricke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fain Fighters's goalkeeper Wilfried Assing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gerenort's Sigurd Siberichs got a free kick in the 85th minute. Dirk Wächter charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk Wächter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Gerenort:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fain Fighters:s goal. Wilfried Assing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Fricke in the 92nd minute of play. Ringo Seifert kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Magnus Kuhr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerenort played a much better game than Fain Fighters and deserved their victory. The Fain Fighters players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
