Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Joachim Delzepich made the kick off and thus started the match. Polonia Gaschowitz's Joachim Delzepich got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Polonia Gaschowitz's zone, Benedikt Hübener stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stuart Balint came out of the goal and Benedikt Hübener tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hansjörg Wörner in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stuart Balint saved Polonia Gaschowitz from getting behind. In the 13th minute Günther Piesche saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. Detlev Schuler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Breda having to interfere. Peter Breda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Delzepich in the 22nd minute of play. Rainer Flug kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Detlev Schuler kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Hansjörg Wörner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stuart Balint was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wolfhard Kluge kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Detlev Schulers short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Peter Breda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Polonia Gaschowitz's Joachim Delzepich in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aver's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Detlev Schuler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polonia Gaschowitz's supporters rose to their feet, but Detlev Schuler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Breda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Aver got a freekick which was hit by Otfried Münzner. Detlev Schuler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Peter Breda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 41 minutes into the match, Aver's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Delzepich came free, but Peter Breda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hansjörg Wörner to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Ulf Borak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polonia Gaschowitz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aver the free kick. A collision led to Polonia Gaschowitz getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ulf Borak hit a great ball. Joachim Delzepich struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Peter Breda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polonia Gaschowitz. After 60 minutes of play, Polonia Gaschowitz's Joachim Delzepich made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Breda was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Aver defense, Detlev Schuler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Breda. The Aver fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Breda should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute, Detlev Schuler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aver's Peter Breda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Delzepich in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Detlev Schuler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stuart Balint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hansjörg Wörner, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 94 minutes into the game, one of Aver:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Polonia Gaschowitz. Günther Piesche stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Peter Breda. 4-1.
