The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Landgraf got free with Ibrahim Wieck in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bosse Dauenhauer charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bosse Dauenhauer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes FC Bad Cannstatt got a freekick which was hit by Bosse Dauenhauer. FC Bad Cannstatt's Ibrahim Wieck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bad Cannstatt from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Sören Chaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Bad Cannstatt's Marcus Schauerhammer got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ibrahim Wieck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Landgraf in the 18th minute of play. Sarreit FC's Sören Chaker got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Ibrahim Wieck managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Sarreit FC's Stefan Landgraf fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, FC Bad Cannstatt's Ibrahim Wieck got control of the ball when Bastian Rühmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee gave Sarreit FC a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stefan Landgraf, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Bad Cannstatt's Ibrahim Wieck. 2-0. Robert Kostedde shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Casimir Fassbender managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarreit FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimir Fassbender was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Heinz Ansmann made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Heinz Ansmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bad Cannstatt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarreit FC the free kick. Sören Chaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ibrahim Wieck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimir Fassbender in the 55th minute of play forced FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastian Rühmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Wieck having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Sarreit FC's Dierk Strobl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ibrahim Wieck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Bosse Dauenhauer kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Casimir Fassbender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bad Cannstatt's Ibrahim Wieck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Landgraf in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Dierk Strobl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ibrahim Wieck was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 74th minute, Casimir Fassbender made a precise shot to the right of Ibrahim Wieck. FC Bad Cannstatt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Sarreit FC's Immanuel Arndt was substituted for Hennes Trenke. 78 minutes into the match, FC Bad Cannstatt's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Landgraf came free, but Ibrahim Wieck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Bastian Rühmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarreit FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastian Rühmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ibrahim Wieck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Chaker, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ibrahim Wieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimir Fassbender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Landgraf in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibrahim Wieck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casimir Fassbender's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastian Rühmann in the 87th minute of play forced FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Sören Chaker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ibrahim Wieck was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Casimir Fassbender's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ibrahim Wieck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
