After some careless play in the Gerbisdorf FSV defense, Hermann Grunert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Saur. The Gerbisdorf FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Saur should have stopped the shot. After the first half Detzem were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermann Grunert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Bousonville hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Michael Scherzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Punke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerbisdorf FSV's Christopher Saur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Gerbisdorf FSV from getting a goal against them. Hermann Grunert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermann Grunert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Saur having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Christopher Saur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 81 minutes into the match, Detzem's goal looked a bit too open when Emmo Hörsting came free, but Paulo Punke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Detzem's Rainer Campe suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 84th match minute, Gerbisdorf FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niccolo Weitenhagen to maneuver through the defense. When Otfried Hesse came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Detzem fans jumped to their feet.
