The tension between the FC Dag Barcelona and the Linde FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Kurt-Jürgen Hierlinger came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Linde FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt-Jürgen Hierlinger couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Alois Artmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dag Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alois Artmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
