Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jörg Bäßler started the match with the kick off. Christian Povel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Iker Gädechens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piet Kleist charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Piet Kleist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Manheim FSV getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Piet Kleist hit a great ball. Stephan Sonneborn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iker Gädechens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Stephan Sonneborn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manheim FSV's Iker Gädechens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iker Gädechens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Povel in the 12th minute of the match. Iker Gädechens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Sonneborn, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Fürth in Wald FC defense, Yorick Stumpf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Michalak. The Fürth in Wald FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Michalak should have stopped the shot. Stephan Sonneborn's late challenge caught a Manheim FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stephan Sonneborn helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Fürth in Wald FC got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Sonneborn. In the 33rd minute, Jörg Bäßler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephan Sonneborn struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Iker Gädechens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fürth in Wald FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Povel to make the kick off. With a little luck, Manheim FSV's Iker Gädechens got control of the ball when Stephan Sonneborn tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Manheim FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Povel came free, but Iker Gädechens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Michalak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Bäßler in the 55th minute of play. When Hermann Happach came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Manheim FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermann Happach couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Manheim FSV's zone, Christian Povel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Gädechens came out of the goal and Christian Povel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alfons Schmitt fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manheim FSV's protests and gave Alfons Schmitt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Alfons Schmitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Fürth in Wald FC's Christoph Bär broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Iker Gädechens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephan Sonneborn in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Fürth in Wald FC's Christoph Bär got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Christian Povel came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Fürth in Wald FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Povel couldn't finish the play. Hermann Happach struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Dennis Michalak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manheim FSV. In the 86th minute Christian Povel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Gädechens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Michalak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Bäßler in the 94th minute of play. Stephan Sonneborn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Gädechens having to interfere. The Manheim FSV support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
