Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lukasz Nowak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Simon 1978. Michael Diers hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. 99 minutes into the match, Kleingladbach's goal looked a bit too open when Wolfgang Schrade came free, but Lukasz Nowak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kleingladbach had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
