Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jakob Nilßon was a little too slow when Marc Szolkowy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Idelberg's goalkeeper Gil Haemer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Gregor Altmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Haemer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Beiche scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jakob Nilßon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Erhard Ehrlich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hohenschmark FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Idelberg the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Gregor Altmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gregor Altmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Funk charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Funk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hohenschmark FC booed when Idelberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Funk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregor Altmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Haemer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Hohenschmark FC's Erich Hartwig got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Haemer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregor Altmann went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Erich Hartwig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Haemer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Torbjörn Friesen kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jakob Nilßon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Beiche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Hohenschmark FC's Gil Haemer threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gregor Altmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Marc Szolkowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Hohenschmark FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Szolkowy came free, but Jakob Nilßon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Altmann in the 64th minute of play forced Idelberg's goalkeeper Gil Haemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Szolkowy struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jakob Nilßon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Idelberg. Hannes Beiche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hohenschmark FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dennis Pfeifer hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Tommy Eitenmüller shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Hohenschmark FC's Jakob Nilßon to catch but Tommy Eitenmüller was lucky. It became 3-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Hannes Beiche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Nilßon having to interfere. Hannes Beiche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jakob Nilßon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Hohenschmark FC got a freekick which was hit by Erhard Ehrlich. Hannes Beiche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erich Hartwig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hohenschmark FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Idelberg.
