Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Helge Ansmann made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Idelberg getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Erland Edewecht hit a great ball. Lukasz Nowak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Szolkowy's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Adrian Baumgartner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gil Haemer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Idelberg getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Michael Teufel hit a great ball. Marc Szolkowy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukasz Nowak having to interfere. Hannes Beiche who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Lukasz Nowak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marc Szolkowy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukasz Nowak having to interfere. A hard shot 36 in the game by Hannes Beiche from a close distance when the talented Lukasz Nowak managed to make a qualified save. Kleingladbach's players were relieved. If Hannes Beiche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukasz Nowak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Szolkowy in the 42nd minute of the match. Kleingladbach's Lukasz Nowak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Szolkowy in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Hardy Ratzel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Idelberg and the Kleingladbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Idelberg got a freekick which was hit by Hardy Ratzel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Baumgartner in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Haemer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marc Szolkowy to strike the kick off in the second half. Gil Haemer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Ansmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kleingladbach's Helge Ansmann in 54 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gil Haemer guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Idelberg getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Axel Funk hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Kleingladbach's goal looked a bit too open when Hannes Beiche came free, but Lukasz Nowak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Idelberg's Axel Funk in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kleingladbach's goalie prevented a goal. Helge Ansmann was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Idelberg's Eppo Reents got a free kick in the 74th minute. Helge Ansmann scored 0-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Haemer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Nathan Waitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Szolkowy in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lukasz Nowak saved Kleingladbach from getting behind. Lukasz Nowak came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Idelberg's Marc Szolkowy. But to his dismay, Marc Szolkowy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Axel Funk kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Adrian Baumgartner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Gil Haemer made a huge save. The Idelberg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kleingladbach's performance. The match ended with a win for Kleingladbach.
