Jan Teufel might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Riepe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osterode Am Fallstein FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Teufel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Riepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alemannia Aachen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
